SEO Web Design Companies Build the Site. We Do the SEO After.

SEO web design companies build a new website and set it up for search at launch: a clean page structure, fast mobile pages, titles, headings and markup. SeoVision does not build or redesign websites. We do the SEO on the site your designer built, every month after it goes live: we fix technical problems after your OK, publish 30 articles a month on your site, add new service pages on WordPress and Shopify, earn backlinks and track your brand in AI answers. It costs $149 a month per site, with no contract, and works next to any designer you choose.

What SEO web design companies do, and why it matters in 2026

SEO web design means building a site so search engines can crawl it, read it and trust it from day one. A good SEO web design service plans the page structure around what buyers search, keeps pages fast on a phone, gives every page one clear heading and a real title, sets up redirects from the old site and adds markup that states the business's facts.

That work matters more in 2026 because more than Google reads your pages. AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews read them too, and they quote pages that load, render their text without waiting on scripts and answer questions plainly. A site that looks beautiful but hides its words behind heavy code is harder for both to use.

Most of it, though, happens once. The build ends on a launch date. Rankings come from what follows: new pages that answer more searches, fixes when a plugin or an edit breaks something, and links from other sites. That monthly part is a separate job, and it is the only part we do.

What we do not do: design, build or redesign

We do not design websites, build them, move them to a new platform or redesign them. We do not edit your theme, your layout or your page builder, and we do not fix load speed or hosting. If you need a new site, hire a designer or a web design and SEO agency for the build first.

What we do is everything after launch that search needs, on the site you already have. If you are choosing a designer now, the questions further down this page help you check the SEO part of their offer, and our free audit shows what a finished site still needs.

What we do

What we do on the site your designer built

Your designer hands over a finished site. This is the SEO work we run on it every month, all in one plan.

Technical fixes after your OK

A weekly scan finds what breaks search: missing titles, broken addresses, missing markup, pages hidden by mistake. Each batch waits for your OK, with a backup first and Undo. On WordPress, Shopify and custom sites connected through our receiver we write the fixes on your site ourselves. On other platforms you get every fix ready to paste, with the exact steps.

30 articles a month, published on your site

One a day, written for the searches your buyers use, with images, markup and links to your own pages. They go live on your site or arrive as drafts, inside the design your site already has.

New service pages on WordPress and Shopify

For a business that serves customers in a place, a planned article can become a service page on your site, a few a month inside the article count. You see it in the plan before it goes out.

Backlinks from real business sites

90 credits a month in our exchange, placed in articles on other members' real sites, in your niche first. See backlink safety.

AI answers tracked

Every week we ask 70 questions your buyers ask in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, and show whether you are named.

A person on your account

A dedicated account manager and priority 24/7 support. Every request gets a ticket number and a reply from our team.

After launch

Launch problems our weekly scan catches on a new site

Launch week is when a new site most often loses search traffic it already had. These are the problems our scan looks for on a freshly built site, and what happens to each.

  • The whole site still hidden from search. A setting left on from the test copy. On WordPress we switch off ยซDiscourage search enginesยป once you confirm. On other platforms we show which setting or tag hides the site.
  • Old addresses that now show an error. Pages Google still shows or other sites link to that answer 404 on the new site. We redirect each one to the closest live page after your OK on WordPress, Shopify and receiver sites, and give you the list for your redirect settings elsewhere.
  • Pages marked noindex. We list each one with nothing ticked, because some are hidden on purpose, and remove the tag only from the pages you tick. On Shopify we show each one for you to decide.
  • Two addresses for one site. The site opens with and without www, or on http and https. That is a hosting setting, so you get the message to send your host.
  • Text that appears only after scripts run. Some page builders print the words late. You get the pages and the steps for your builder or your designer.
  • Missing titles, descriptions, alt text and markup. Filled after your OK where we write fixes, ready to paste elsewhere, and a title or description your designer wrote stays as it is.

Your platform

How our SEO web design service work reaches each kind of site

We publish to WordPress (through our plugin), WordPress.com, Shopify, Wix, Webflow, Next.js, any custom site through our receiver, and a blog we host for you on your own domain. Your designer's choice of platform decides how each part of the work arrives, not whether it arrives.

On WordPress, our plugin publishes articles as normal posts in your theme and writes approved fixes into Yoast or Rank Math, or into its own fields when you use no SEO plugin. With another SEO plugin, page fixes come ready to paste. On Shopify, articles go to your store's blog and fixes come through our app. A custom site built by a developer connects through our receiver, which takes articles and fixes on your server. On Wix, articles go into the Wix Blog, and on Webflow into the CMS collection you pick. On both, fixes come ready to paste with the exact steps.

If your site runs on a builder with no way for an app to publish, such as Squarespace or Carrd, we host your blog on blog.yourdomain.com. You add one DNS record and a Blog link to your menu. The blog takes your logo, brand colour, browser tab icon and links to your main pages from your homepage, and you can adjust them, so it reads as part of your site and not as a stranger's page. More on auto-publishing.

New pages

New service pages without a redesign

Website development and SEO services often bundle new pages into a rebuild. With us, a new page does not need one. When your plan holds a search that calls for a service page, and your site has none, a planned article can become that page instead. On WordPress it goes out through our plugin as a page, and on Shopify as a page or a collection of your products. It is written from your business facts, read from your own site or given by you, never guessed.

Each page counts as one of your monthly articles, at most a few a month, and it shows in your plan before it goes out. Its LocalBusiness markup is printed only when your facts hold an address with its town. On Wix, Webflow, custom sites and the blog we host, we write articles but no new pages. Designer plus SEO

How to pair your web designer with us, step by step

Design and SEO are bought separately more often than agencies admit. This is how the two fit together without stepping on each other.

  1. 1

    Your designer builds the site

Ask for one heading per page, real titles, fast mobile pages and a list of old addresses mapped to new ones. Those choices live in the theme, so they are theirs to make.

  2. 2

    You connect the finished site

Our plugin on WordPress, our app on Shopify, our receiver on a custom site, an API key on Wix, a site token on Webflow, or one DNS record for a hosted blog. Your designer can do it in minutes.

  3. 3

We scan it and send what we find

Fixes we can make wait for your OK. What lives in the theme, the hosting or the page builder comes with the exact steps, ready to forward to your designer or host.

  4. 4

    The monthly work starts

Articles, new pages where your platform takes them, links and AI tracking run every day. Your designer stays free for design.

  5. 5

When the site changes, the scan sees it

A new section, a plugin update or a second redesign shows up in the next weekly scan, so a change that breaks search is caught that week, not at the end of the quarter.

Who does what

Web design and SEO agency, designer plus SeoVision, or doing it yourself

Three common ways to get a site built and found. The design half is priced by each studio, so ask for written quotes that split the build from the monthly SEO.

What to ask a web design and SEO agency

Many web design SEO agencies sell the build well and the SEO vaguely. These questions show which part you are really buying.

  • Is the SEO a one-time setup at launch, or monthly work after it? What exactly ships each month?
  • Who writes new content after launch, how often, and is it in the price?
  • Will every old address redirect to its new page, and who checks that after launch?
  • Is the test copy's ยซhide from search enginesยป setting removed on launch day?
  • Do I own the domain, the hosting account, Search Console and Google Analytics, in my own name?
  • Who fixes search problems when a plugin update or an edit breaks something next year, and what does it cost?
  • Where would links to my site come from, and can I see each one?
  • Will you promise rankings? An honest agency says no.

Near you

Website design and SEO near me: does the team need to be local?

A local designer can be worth it if you want to sit down over the layout and the photos. The SEO half rarely needs a meeting. It needs steady work on the site and on the searches your buyers make in your town, which is done the same way from anywhere.

We are a remote team with no office in any city, so we do not meet in person. We work on searches in your market, including the ones that name your town, and you reach us in writing through Help in your dashboard or by email. If you want the build and the SEO from one local office, a local studio fits that better. For the local half, see our local SEO services.

Pricing

SEO web design packages: what you pay for each half

A website build is usually priced once, by the project, and each studio sets its own price. The SEO after launch is the monthly part: the most common SEO retainer is $500 to $1,000 a month according to SE Ranking and Duda's 2025 survey of 260 agencies, and agencies average about $3,200 a month in Ahrefs' survey of 439 SEO providers. We sell only the SEO half, $149 a month per site, with no contract. Compare it in our SEO pricing guide.

Timeline

When a new site starts to show in search

A fix we write after your OK is on your site minutes later, and our first articles go live in the first days. Google still has to crawl the new site, and a site that just changed its addresses often wobbles for a few weeks while Google follows the redirects.

After that, articles usually collect impressions on long, specific searches first, then on broader ones as the site earns links and history. With Search Console connected, your dashboard shows clicks, impressions and positions by page and by query, and each fixed page's numbers for 28 days before and after. Nobody can promise a position on Google by a date, a designer included.

Questions

SEO web design: frequently asked questions

What is included in SEO web design?

Usually a page structure planned around searches, fast mobile pages, one heading per page, titles and descriptions, markup and redirects from the old site, all set up at launch. We do not build sites. We do the monthly SEO after launch: fixes, articles, new pages on WordPress and Shopify, links and AI tracking.

How much should SEO services cost?

The most common retainer is $500 to $1,000 a month, according to SE Ranking and Duda's 2025 survey of 260 agencies, and agencies average about $3,200 a month in Ahrefs' survey. Ours is $149 a month per site, with 30 articles, fixes, links and AI tracking included.

How much does SEO cost for a website?

It depends on who does the work. Setup at launch is often part of a design project, and the monthly work is a retainer, most commonly $500 to $1,000 a month in agency surveys. Our plan is $149 a month per site for the monthly work, with no contract.

What does SEO web design cost per month?

The design is usually paid once and the SEO is paid monthly. Studios that bundle both often add a monthly SEO retainer after launch. We sell only the monthly SEO, at $149 a month per site, next to the designer you choose.

Do you offer SEO web design packages?

No. We do not build or redesign websites, so we have no design package. Our one plan covers the SEO after launch for $149 a month per site: technical fixes after your OK, 30 articles a month, links and AI tracking.

How long until SEO web design shows results?

Fixes we write are live minutes after your OK and articles start in the first days, but Google needs weeks to crawl a new site and follow its redirects. Impressions on specific searches usually come first, broader searches later. Nobody can promise a date.

Can AI tools replace SEO web design?

AI site builders can produce a decent layout fast, and AI writers can draft text. Neither checks on its own that old addresses redirect, that the site is not hidden from search or that new pages keep coming every month. That ongoing work is what we do, with software and a team on top of it.

Is there a website design and SEO company near me?

For the build, a local studio is easy to find and good if you want meetings. We are a remote team with no office, so we do not meet in person, and we do not build sites. We do the SEO for businesses anywhere in the US, including the searches that name your town.

Keep your designer. Let us do the SEO after launch.
