What we fix

What our technical SEO services fix

Technical SEO decides whether search engines and AI assistants can reach, read and understand your site. Good content does little when it is broken. These are the areas we check and fix.

Crawler access

We open robots.txt to Google and the AI crawlers you need, and switch off a setting that hides the whole site. When your host blocks AI crawlers, you get the message to send them.

Indexing and sitemaps

We switch your sitemap on and send it to Google when Search Console is connected, find the pages that should rank but are hidden, and check that every article we publish gets indexed.

Canonicals, redirects and broken pages

We fix wrong or missing canonical tags, send broken addresses Google still shows to the closest live page and shorten redirect chains.

Titles, meta descriptions and alt text

We fill the empty titles, meta descriptions and image alt text on your existing pages. A field you wrote yourself stays as it is unless you ask us to rewrite it.

Schema markup

Your business, website and breadcrumbs, products, ratings from your real reviews and the questions already on your pages, then a check for errors.

AI readiness

We write llms.txt, a summary of your site for AI assistants, and find text that only appears after JavaScript runs, which AI crawlers often miss.

How it works

How a technical SEO fix reaches your site

Nothing on your site changes without your yes. This is the whole path of a fix.

  1. 1

    We scan your site

Nine areas, every check graded bad, medium or good, with the reason for each.

  2. 2

    You allow fixes once

Without that switch on your site, nothing can change. You can turn it off any time.

  3. 3

    We save a backup

Before the first fix we save a copy of your site's SEO settings, so everything can be put back.

  4. 4

    You approve each batch

Every kind of fix waits for your OK on its own, with each change shown before and after. A big or sensitive batch asks twice.

Checklist

Our technical SEO checklist

What a technical SEO audit should cover, and what we check on every site, every week.

  • Robots.txt lets in Google and the AI crawlers you choose
  • No setting hides the site from search engines
  • An XML sitemap is on and sent to Google
  • Pages that should rank are not blocked or set to noindex
  • Every page has the right canonical address
  • Broken URLs with traffic redirect to the closest live page
  • Redirect chains are cut to a single hop
  • No page is missing a title or a meta description
  • Images carry alt text that describes them
  • Schema markup for your business, products, reviews and FAQs, without errors
  • An llms.txt file for AI assistants
  • Important text is in the HTML, not only added by JavaScript
  • Your host does not turn AI crawlers away
  • Your pages link to the articles written about them
  • Store products show their characteristics and answers for AI shopping
  • A backup exists before anything changes, and every fix can be undone

Specialist or service

What a technical SEO specialist does, and what we do for you

A technical SEO specialist crawls your site, finds what stops search engines from reading it, writes up the fixes and, if you are lucky, makes them. Freelance specialists commonly charge $100 to $150 an hour according to Ahrefs' survey of SEO providers, and a full technical audit is often sold as a project of a few thousand dollars.

A specialist's audit is a snapshot, and sites keep changing. A plugin update can rewrite robots.txt, a new theme can drop your schema markup, and a deleted page can leave broken links behind. Nobody remembers to look again until traffic falls, which is why a one-time audit loses its value within months. A weekly scan turns that into a short list of new problems, each with its fix ready for your OK, so small issues never pile up into a traffic drop.

We do the same checks every week instead of once, and we write the fixes on your site instead of handing you a report. A fix is marked done only when a new scan a few minutes later sees it on your live site. What only you or your host can change goes into your to-dos with the exact text or steps.

With Search Console connected, each fixed page shows its clicks, impressions, click rate and position for 28 days before and after, so you can see what the work changed. It all comes with the plan, $149 a month per site, alongside your articles and backlinks.

Platforms

Which sites we can fix

On WordPress, Shopify and custom sites connected through our receiver we write the fixes on your site ourselves. On other platforms you get every fix ready to paste, with the exact steps.

For WooCommerce and Shopify stores we also show each product's characteristics on its page and write selling points and shoppers' questions from your own product text, so AI shopping assistants understand what you sell.

Issues and fixes

Technical SEO issues we fix, and how each fix works

Every technical SEO issue below is one our weekly scan looks for. This is what usually goes wrong, and what we do about it once you approve the batch.

AreaWhat usually goes wrongWhat we do
Robots.txtA rule blocks Google or the AI crawlers, or a single setting hides the whole site.We open robots.txt to the crawlers you choose and switch the hiding setting off. If your host blocks AI crawlers, you get the message to send them.
SitemapNo XML sitemap, or one Google was never told about. We switch your sitemap on and send it to Google once Search Console is connected.
IndexingPages that should rank are set to noindex or blocked. We find them, and fix the setting when it sits on your site.
CanonicalsPages point to the wrong canonical address, or to none.We set the right canonical on each page.
Broken pagesOld addresses Google still shows lead to an error. We redirect each one to the closest live page and cut redirect chains to one hop.
Titles and descriptionsPages with an empty title or meta description. We fill the empty ones from the page's own text. Yours stay unless you ask.
Alt textImages with no alt text, so search engines cannot tell what they show.We write alt text for the images that have none.
Schema markupNo markup for your business, products or questions, or markup with errors. We add business, website, breadcrumb, product, review and FAQ markup, then check it for errors.
Internal linksYour pages never link to the articles written about them.We link your pages to our articles about the same topic.
AI readinessNo llms.txt, and key text that appears only after JavaScript runs.We write llms.txt and point out the text AI crawlers are likely to miss.

Which fixes we can write ourselves depends on your platform, as the section above explains. Speed, HTTPS and theme layout are given as steps, not fixed.

AI search

Technical SEO for AI crawlers and AI answers

AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity send their own crawlers, with names like GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot. If your robots.txt or your host turns them away, those assistants cannot read your pages, however good the pages are. Sites often block them by accident, through an old rule or a security setting at the host.

AI crawlers also read less than Google does. Most of them do not run JavaScript, so text that only appears after a script runs can be invisible to them. Our scan finds the text on your pages that only appears after JavaScript runs.

Then there is llms.txt, a short Markdown summary of your site written for AI assistants. It is a young convention and not every assistant says it reads one, so we treat it as cheap insurance, not a promise. Clear schema markup and plain, well-structured pages do more, and we fix those too. To see how assistants answer about you, every plan also tracks your AI visibility every week.

When to hire a person

When you still need a technical SEO expert or a developer

Most sites lose search traffic to the routine problems in the table above, and those we handle every week. Some jobs are bigger than a batch of fixes, and for those a technical SEO expert or your developer is the right person. When a fix needs your developer or host, your to-dos say so, with the exact steps.

  • A site migration to a new domain, platform or address structure, where every old address needs a planned redirect.
  • Speed and Core Web Vitals, which depend on your hosting, theme, images and scripts. You get the exact steps, and a developer makes the changes.
  • A custom app or a site built entirely in JavaScript, where the way pages are rendered has to change in the code.
  • A large international site with many languages and country versions that need their own setup.

What technical SEO cannot fix from our side

Load speed, HTTPS itself, the mobile layout and your theme's headings depend on your hosting and your theme. For those you get the exact steps to give your developer or host, not a fix we write.

We never overwrite what you wrote without asking. A fix fills only empty fields, a description comes only from your page's own text, and replacing your own titles is a separate batch that asks a second time. Undo puts everything back.

Questions

Technical SEO services: frequently asked questions

What does a technical SEO specialist do?

They check how search engines crawl, index and understand a site, then fix what stands in the way: robots.txt, sitemaps, canonical tags, redirects, broken pages, titles, alt text, structured data and page speed. We do the same checks every week and write the fixes on your site.

What comes under technical SEO?

Everything that decides whether search engines and AI assistants can reach, read and understand your site: crawler access, indexing, sitemaps, canonical addresses, redirects, titles and descriptions, alt text, schema markup and, now, llms.txt for AI.

How much do technical SEO services cost per month?

Specialists commonly bill $100 to $150 an hour, and audits are often sold as projects of a few thousand dollars. With SeoVision technical SEO is included in the plan at $149 a month per site, together with 30 articles a month and backlinks.

How long until technical SEO shows results?

A fix is live on your site minutes after you approve it. Google then has to crawl the pages again, which takes days to weeks. With Search Console connected you see each fixed page's clicks and position for 28 days before and after.

Will you change my site without asking?

No. Every batch waits for your OK, a backup is saved first, and every fix can be undone, one batch at a time or everything since the backup.

Do I need a developer?

Not for the fixes we write on WordPress, Shopify and custom sites connected through our receiver. On other platforms you get each fix ready to paste, and for speed or hosting issues the exact steps for your developer.
