Restaurant SEO Services for Restaurants, Cafes and Bakeries
Restaurant SEO services help hungry people find your restaurant when they search Google, look at the map or ask an AI assistant where to eat. Your Google Business Profile does much of that work and stays yours. Your website is the half SeoVision does for you: we research what diners in your area search, publish 30 articles a month, fix technical problems after your OK, earn links from real businesses and track what AI assistants recommend. It costs $149 a month per site, with no contract. We do not connect your menu, online ordering or reservations.

How diners search
How customers find restaurants on Google and in AI
Most restaurant searches are decided in minutes. Someone types “ramen near me”, “brunch downtown” or “restaurants open late” and picks from the few places Google shows on the map, with their photos, hours, stars and the distance. That map pack is built from Google Business Profiles, so for those searches the profile matters most.
Other searches are planned. A couple looks for “romantic restaurants for an anniversary”, an office manager needs “private dining room for 20” or “catering for a lunch meeting”, and a family checks “gluten free restaurants” before a visit. Those people read more, compare places and look at a restaurant's own website before they decide.
AI assistants now answer both kinds. Ask ChatGPT where to get good tacos in a neighborhood and it names a few places and cites a few pages. The planned searches and the questions around them are where a restaurant's website has the most room to show up, and that is the part our restaurant SEO services work on.
What's included
What our SEO services for restaurants include
The same full plan for a single cafe, a busy bakery or a restaurant group, done while you run the kitchen.
Research on what diners search
Cuisine, occasion, dietary and event searches in your area, and the keywords other restaurants and food sites rank for that you do not.
30 articles a month
One a day, written for diners: what a dish is, where to eat for an occasion, how to plan a party or a catered lunch, what is in season. Each one points the reader to your menu, your catering page or wherever they book.
Pages for catering and events
When people search for something you sell, like catering or a private dining room, and no page of yours answers, we can write that page on WordPress through our plugin or on Shopify, inside your monthly article count.
Your site, fixed
Empty titles and descriptions filled, dead addresses sent to live pages, a sitemap search engines can read and business markup with your name, address and phone. Nothing changes before you approve the batch, a backup comes first and any fix can be undone. On WordPress, Shopify and custom sites connected through our receiver we write the fixes on your site ourselves. On other platforms you get every fix ready to paste, with the exact steps.
Links from real businesses
Our backlink exchange gives you 90 credits a month for links on real business sites, close to your field and country where possible, and never from a competitor you track. See backlink safety.
A person on your account
A dedicated account manager and priority 24/7 support. Send a request through Help or by email, and it gets a ticket number and an answer from our team.
Your menu
Your menu, ordering and reservations stay where they are
We do not connect your menu, your online ordering or your reservation system, and we do not manage your listings on delivery or booking apps. Those tools keep doing their job. Our work is the articles and pages around them, each linking to wherever a diner orders or books.
When your business field names a restaurant, a cafe, a coffee shop or a bakery, your site's business markup describes you as a restaurant, with your name, address, phone and logo. It does not carry your menu or your prices. A tip that costs nothing: a menu written as text on your site is easier for search engines and AI assistants to read than a photo of one.
On a page we write for catering or events, your hours reach the markup only when your facts state them exactly, day by day, because hours are never guessed. A restaurant group with several locations gets one entry for each location whose address and town your facts hold.
Example
Example content plan for restaurants
An illustration for a made-up neighborhood Italian restaurant with catering and a private room. Your plan comes from your own keyword research, your menu and your market.
| Week | Article | The search behind it | Why it is in the plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Carbonara vs cacio e pepe: what is the difference? | carbonara vs cacio e pepe | A food question that brings curious diners to your site |
| 1 | How to plan a rehearsal dinner: a checklist | rehearsal dinner ideas | Points planners to your private room |
| 2 | Office lunch catering: how much food to order per person | office lunch catering | Reaches the people who book catering |
| 2 | Eating out with a gluten allergy: questions to ask | gluten allergy restaurant | Written under the health rules below, as general guidance only |
| 3 | Where to eat before a show downtown | restaurants near [your theater] | An occasion search close to a booking |
| 4 | Thanksgiving dinner to go: how to order ahead | thanksgiving dinner to go | Holiday orders are planned weeks ahead, so the article is live first |
A real month holds 30 articles. A seasonal search, like Thanksgiving, Valentine's Day or patio season, goes on your calendar in the three months before its peak or in the peak month. Before writing, we check your own pages, so your pages do not compete for the same search.
Careful topics
Allergies, diets and the claims we never make
Food questions can touch health. A diner with a nut allergy or a strict diet trusts what a restaurant's site says, so an article whose search names an allergy, a diet, calories or nutrition follows our stricter health rules: careful facts credited to the kind of source behind them, general guidance only and one short note to check with a qualified professional. Our writer is barred from calling any dish “100% safe”.
Your restaurant's own details appear only as your business facts hold them, read from your own site or given by you, never guessed. An article never claims an award, a founding year or opening hours your facts do not give, and your word beats the site.
Our writer is also barred from “the best pizza in town” and claims like it unless a named source says so, and from urgency like “selling fast”. Each article is checked for them when it is done, and rewritten once if one got through. Your own rules, such as never mentioning a dish you no longer serve, go in Global Article Instructions.
Local SEO
Local SEO for restaurants
For a restaurant, the Google Business Profile is the front door: your category, hours, photos, menu link and reviews. It stays yours. Connect it, and your dashboard shows its views, calls, direction requests, website clicks and reviews, and lists what the profile is missing, such as hours, a phone number, a description or replies to new reviews. You make those changes in Google yourself.
You can draft a reply to a review in your dashboard, edit it and publish it on Google. We do not edit your profile, post on it or answer reviews for you, and nobody can promise a restaurant a place in the map pack. Once a month we also look at what Google shows when someone searches your name with “reviews”, and the Monthly Report marks which results are yours and which may be negative.
On your website, our local SEO services rules apply. A catering or event page we write on WordPress or Shopify carries local business markup when your facts hold an address with its town. A town gets its own article only where your restaurant has three local facts there, such as a street address in that town, that location's hours and a review that names it.
The Local Citations add-on lists your restaurant in 15, 30, 50 or 100 directories for $144 to $960, paid once, with a report of every live listing.
AI assistants
How restaurants get recommended by AI assistants
Diners ask AI assistants where to eat before a concert, which bakery has the best croissants or which places nearby suit a group with a vegan in it. The answers lean on review sites, local guides, directories and pages that answer the question plainly, and they name places that show up across those sources.
Our articles open with the answer, take their FAQ questions from what Google really shows and come with an llms.txt summary of your site. Every week we ask 70 questions diners ask in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, and you see which answers name your restaurant, which places are named instead and which pages the answers cite. More on AI visibility tracking.
Who does the work
A restaurant SEO agency that works on your website
Restaurant owners hear from ordering platforms, review tools, social media managers and a restaurant SEO agency or two. Ask each one what you keep if you stop. Articles and pages on your own site stay yours and keep working after they go live.
We are a restaurant SEO agency for the website half. The research, writing, publishing and weekly site scan run through our system every day, and every morning our team looks over each paying project. A dedicated account manager and priority 24/7 support come with the plan. We are a remote team, so we do not come by for a tasting, and you can read every article in your dashboard the day it goes live.
A restaurant inside a hotel has two kinds of searchers, diners and travelers. Our page on hotel SEO services covers the second kind.

What we do not do for restaurants
We do not connect your menu, online ordering or reservation system, and we do not manage delivery or booking app listings. We do not count covers, orders or reservations, and we never promise them or revenue. We do not run paid ads or social media, build websites or promise rankings.
Your Google Business Profile and your reviews stay with you, and we cannot place a restaurant in the map pack. Our health rules for allergy and diet topics are writing rules, not a review by a dietitian or a doctor. We do not work with breweries, wineries, distilleries or liquor stores, while restaurants that simply serve drinks are welcome. We work remotely and have no office in your town.
Questions
Restaurant SEO: frequently asked questions
What are SEO service charges?
They vary by provider. Ahrefs' survey of 439 SEO providers found the most common monthly retainer at $501 to $1,000, with agencies across all fields averaging about $3,200 a month and freelancers commonly charging $100 to $150 an hour. Our restaurant SEO services cost $149 a month per site, with no contract.
What is the 30/30/30/10 rule for restaurants?
It is a budgeting rule of thumb: roughly 30% of sales goes to food and drink costs, 30% to labor, 30% to rent and other overhead, and about 10% is left as profit. Many restaurants run different splits, so treat it as a rough guide, not a standard. It has nothing to do with SEO, but owners search it while they plan their spending.
What does restaurant SEO stand for?
SEO stands for search engine optimization. Restaurant SEO is the work that makes a restaurant show up when people search for a place to eat: a complete Google Business Profile, a website that answers diners' questions, accurate details across directories and links from other sites.
Who is the best SEO specialist?
The best one for a restaurant is the one whose work you can see and check. Ask what goes live every month, who runs your Google Business Profile, where the links come from and whether they promise a map pack place. Anyone who guarantees one is guessing.
What is a SEO service provider?
A company or person paid to improve how a business shows up in search. Some send reports and advice, others do the work. For a restaurant we do the website half every day: research, articles, technical fixes and links, while your profile stays yours.
How long does restaurant SEO take to work?
Expect your first articles live, and checked for indexing, in the first few weeks. Impressions usually build on narrow searches, like a dish or an occasion in your neighborhood, over the next months. The map pack for “restaurants near me” leans on your profile, and nobody can promise a position by a date.
Can you get my restaurant into the Google map pack?
No one can promise that. Google picks the map pack mainly from relevance, distance and prominence, and your Google Business Profile carries most of it. Your dashboard lists what your profile is missing so you can fix it, and we do the website side that supports it.
