Automotive SEO Services for Dealerships and Auto Shops

Automotive SEO services get a dealership, repair shop, detailer or parts store found when drivers search Google or ask an AI assistant about a car, a repair or a part. SeoVision does that work for you: we research what drivers in your area search, publish 30 articles a month on your site, fix technical problems after your OK, earn links from real businesses and track what AI assistants say when someone asks where to buy or fix a car. One plan, $149 a month per site, with no contract. We do not connect your dealer inventory feed, and this page says plainly what that means.

How drivers search

How customers find auto dealers and repair shops on Google and in AI

Automotive searches split into two very different trips. One is shopping. A family that needs a bigger car reads about “best midsize SUV for towing”, “lease vs buy a car” and “what is my trade in worth” for weeks, then narrows the list to a model and a dealer. Many of those searches never name a dealership at all.

The other is trouble. A check engine light comes on, the brakes start to grind or the AC blows warm air in July, and the driver types “brake repair near me”, “why is my check engine light on” or “AC recharge cost” into a phone. Some want a shop today. Others want to know whether it is safe to keep driving first.

Google answers the trouble searches with the map pack for nearby shops, and with articles and AI Overviews for the questions. It answers the shopping searches with reviews, comparisons and model guides, and AI assistants like ChatGPT now answer both kinds and sometimes name a business. Automotive SEO services work on the website side of all that: the pages and articles that answer those questions with your name on them.

What's included

What our automotive SEO services include

The same full plan for a dealership, an independent repair shop, a collision center or a detailer, done while your team sells and fixes cars.

Research on what drivers search

Shopping, repair, maintenance and detailing searches in your market, the towns you serve included, and the keywords other dealers and shops rank for that you do not. Searches for towns you do not serve are left out of your plan.

30 articles a month

One a day, written for drivers in plain words: what a repair usually involves, how two models compare, what a warning light means and when a car is due for service. Each one links to the page on your site a reader needs next.

Service pages for your bays

When drivers search a service like “transmission repair” or “ceramic coating” and no page of yours answers, we can write that service page on WordPress (through our plugin) or Shopify, counted in your monthly articles.

Your site, fixed

Missing titles and descriptions written, broken addresses redirected, your sitemap switched on and business markup with your name, address and phone. You approve each batch, we back up first and you can undo any fix. On WordPress, Shopify and custom sites connected through our receiver we write the fixes on your site ourselves. On other platforms you get every fix ready to paste, with the exact steps.

Links from real businesses

90 credits a month in our backlink exchange, matched to your field and country first and never with a competitor you track. Read how it stays safe in backlink safety.

A person on your account

A dedicated account manager and priority 24/7 support. Anything you send through Help gets a ticket number and an answer from our team.

Dealerships

Your inventory stays on your dealer platform

A dealership's website has two parts. The inventory part, with a page for every car on the lot, is fed by your inventory feed and your dealer website provider. The other part is everything that helps a buyer decide: model comparisons, financing basics, trade in questions, service advice and pages about your dealership.

We do not connect your inventory feed, and we do not build or change vehicle listing pages or their markup. Cars come and go every week, and that part belongs with the provider that already runs it. Our work is the second part. We write the articles a shopper reads before they look at your lot, and each one links to the pages on your site where your cars and your service department live.

Many dealership sites run on a dealer website platform. If yours offers none of the ways we publish, we host your blog for you on a subdomain of your own domain, such as blog.yourdealership.com, with one DNS record. Technical fixes then come ready to paste, with the exact steps, for you or your website provider.

A parts store that sells online is a store in our system, with products and collections at the center of its plan. Our ecommerce SEO services page explains what a store gets.

A real month holds 30 articles. A seasonal search, like winter tires or an AC recharge before summer, goes on your calendar in the three months before its peak or in the peak month. Before writing, we check your own pages, so two of your pages do not compete for the same search.

Careful topics

Car loans, insurance claims and car seats, written with care

Some automotive searches ask about money or safety. A buyer reads about loan terms and credit, a collision customer asks whether insurance pays for the repair, and a new parent wants to know how to install a car seat. These articles can mislead a reader if they are written carelessly, so they follow stricter rules.

  • When a search names a loan or insurance, the article follows our rules for money topics: facts stated conservatively and credited to the kind of source they come from, general guidance and never a decision about one reader's loan or claim, and one short note to check their own case with a qualified professional.
  • When a search names a car seat, the article follows our safety rules in the same way.
  • Nothing about your business appears unless your facts give it. An article never says your technicians are ASE certified, what your warranty covers or when you are open unless your business facts say so, read from your own site or given by you, never guessed.
  • Our writer is barred from some claims, and every finished article is checked for them and rewritten once if one slips through: “risk-free”, “100% safe”, urgency like “only 3 left” or “selling fast”, and “the best dealer in town” unless a named source says it.
  • Your own rules go in Global Article Instructions, such as never quoting a price or never naming a rival dealer, and every article follows them.

Local SEO

Local SEO for auto dealers and repair shops

Most automotive customers want a business close by. Your Google Business Profile, with the right category, your hours, photos of your lot or bays and your reviews, is most of what Google reads for the map pack.

That profile stays yours. Once it is connected, your dashboard shows its views, calls, direction requests, website clicks and reviews, and a reply to any review can be drafted there and published on Google by you. We do not edit your profile, post on it or answer reviews for you, and nobody can promise a dealer or a shop a place in the map pack.

Your website is the half we do, as our local SEO services page explains. On WordPress or Shopify, a service page carries local business markup when your facts hold an address with its town. A dealer group with several rooftops gets one entry for each location whose address and town the facts hold, tied to the main business. A town gets its own article only where you have three local facts there, such as a street address in that town, that location's hours and a review that names it.

The Local Citations add-on lists your business in 15, 30, 50 or 100 directories for $144 to $960, paid once, with a report of every live listing. A mobile detailer who works at customers' homes can ask for the street address to be hidden, and it is hidden wherever a directory allows it.

AI assistants

How auto dealers and repair shops get recommended by AI assistants

Drivers ask ChatGPT and Google's AI Mode which SUV holds its value, whether a noise is worth a trip to the shop and who does reliable brake work nearby. The answers draw on pages that rank, on directories and on clear facts about each business, and they quote pages that answer the question in the first lines.

So our articles open with the answer, take their FAQ questions from what Google really shows and come with an llms.txt file that sums up your site for AI assistants. Then we measure. Every week we ask 70 questions drivers ask in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, and you see which answers name your business, which dealers or shops are named instead and which pages the answers cite. More on AI visibility tracking.

Who does the work

An automotive SEO agency that does the work every day

Dealers hear from many vendors: lead providers, inventory marketers, review tools and an automotive SEO agency or two. Ask each one what you keep if you stop paying. Leads and ad clicks stop with the invoice. Articles and pages on your own website stay yours and keep working after they go live.

As an automotive SEO agency, we run the daily work through our system: the research, the writing, the publishing and the weekly site scan. Our team checks every paying project each morning and steps in when something needs a person. We are a remote team, so we do not visit your store, and you see every article in your dashboard as it goes live.

Before you sign with anyone, ask how many articles go up each month, who writes about loans and insurance, where the links come from and how long you are tied in. Be wary of a promise of first place, a number of leads or a full service bay. Google decides rankings, and drivers decide who to call.

What we do not do for automotive businesses

We do not connect your dealer inventory feed, build vehicle listing pages or touch their markup. We do not sell leads, book test drives or service appointments, or track calls. We bring drivers to your website, and your forms and your phone take it from there. We do not run paid ads, build websites or promise rankings.

We do not manage your Google Business Profile or answer your reviews for you, and we cannot put a business into Google's map pack. We do not check articles against a manufacturer's brand or advertising rules, so put any such rules in Global Article Instructions, or choose drafts and publish each article yourself. Drafts do not reach a blog we host for you, so there you switch off automatic publishing and read each article first. Drafts cover the articles of your plan, while posts your site hosts for other members of our backlink exchange go live on their own, under the exchange's own switch.

Questions

Automotive SEO: frequently asked questions

What does automotive SEO cost per month?

The most common SEO agency retainer is $500 to $1,000 a month, by SE Ranking and Duda's 2025 survey of 260 agencies, and Ahrefs puts the average for agencies across all fields near $3,200. Our automotive SEO services cost $149 a month per site, and the research, 30 articles, fixes, links and weekly AI checks all come with it.

How long until automotive SEO shows results?

Within the first weeks your first articles are live and checked for indexing. Impressions on narrow searches, like one repair or one model question with your town, usually build over the next months, while broad searches like “car dealer” in a big city take longest. No honest provider names the date you reach a position, so watch your own clicks and impressions in Search Console.

What is included in automotive SEO?

Our plan covers keyword research for your brands, services and towns, 30 articles a month, service pages where your platform takes them, technical fixes after your OK, links from our exchange, weekly AI answer checks, up to 5 full audits a month and your own account manager. It does not include your inventory feed or vehicle pages.

Can AI tools replace automotive SEO?

Not on their own. A chatbot can draft an article about brake noise, but someone still has to pick the search, check your business facts, follow the rules for loan and insurance topics, publish it, confirm Google indexes it and earn links to it. AI does the drafting, and our system and team handle the rest.

How do I choose a provider for automotive SEO?

Choose one whose work you can see. Ask what goes live each month, who writes about money and safety topics, whether they touch your inventory pages, where links come from and how long the contract runs. Walk away from anyone who guarantees rankings, leads or bookings.

Will automotive SEO get me into ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?

Nobody can guarantee it, since every assistant chooses its own sources. We do the work those answers draw on, clear pages that rank, and every week we show which drivers' questions bring up your business and which dealers or shops come up instead.

Do you connect our dealer inventory feed?

No. Your inventory feed and your vehicle listing pages stay with your dealer website provider. We write the articles and service pages that bring shoppers and service customers to your site, and link them to the pages where your cars and your service department already live.

Keep selling and fixing cars. We will do your website's SEO.
