BigCommerce SEO Services for Growing Stores

BigCommerce SEO services get your products and categories found on Google and named by AI shopping assistants, and SeoVision does that work for BigCommerce stores. We have no BigCommerce app, so here is exactly how it works: we publish 30 articles a month on a blog we host on your own domain, such as blog.yourstore.com, read your store every week and hand you each fix ready to paste, and show your Google Merchant Center products in your dashboard. One plan, $149 a month per store, with a free audit to start.

Why us

Why BigCommerce SEO needs more than built-in settings

BigCommerce handles the groundwork well. Each product and category page has its own page title, meta description and address, the platform keeps a sitemap up to date for you, and redirects are managed in the control panel. For a new store that is a sound start.

Rankings come from what you build on top of it. Most BigCommerce stores have product pages and very little that answers the questions shoppers ask before they buy: which model fits, how two options compare, what to look for. Those searches are where buying starts, and where AI assistants look for answers to quote. A store also needs links from other sites, and someone who notices when a theme change breaks a page.

That steady work is what BigCommerce SEO services are for, and it is what we do for your store every day.

How it works

How our BigCommerce SEO services reach your store

We have not built a BigCommerce app, and no code of ours runs inside a BigCommerce store. So we do not post into BigCommerce's own blog or change your store from the inside. You keep your store, your theme, your apps and your BigCommerce plan exactly as they are. The work reaches you in four ways instead, and each one works today.

  • Articles on a blog we host. Your articles go out on a subdomain of your own domain, such as blog.yourstore.com, which you point to us with one DNS record. The blog wears your logo and colour and links back to your store.
  • A weekly store scan. Every Monday we read up to 500 pages of your store from outside, the way shoppers and Google get them, and turn each problem into a fix you paste in your control panel or theme.
  • Merchant Center in your dashboard. Connect Google Merchant Center and we show which products Google lists for free in Shopping, which it limits or does not show, and why.
  • Links and AI tracking. Backlinks from real business sites through our exchange, and a weekly check of what AI assistants answer when shoppers ask what to buy.

What's included

What's included in our BigCommerce SEO services

Every piece below shows in your dashboard, with nothing for you to install in BigCommerce.

Keyword research for your catalog

We find what shoppers type for your products, the questions they ask before buying and the searches your competitors win that you do not. More on keyword research.

30 articles a month

A new article every day from a plan built on that research. Each is written from facts about your store and carries images, structured data and links to the matching pages of your store.

Technical checks every Monday

Titles, descriptions, canonical tags, hidden pages, alt text, broken addresses, markup and llms.txt, each finding with the exact text or code to paste.

Merchant Center products

Free-listing status for each product, Google's own reason for every limited one, and the clicks and impressions your free listings earn.

Backlinks from real business sites

90 credits a month in our exchange, placed inside articles on other members' sites, matched to your industry first and never a swap.

AI shopping visibility

70 buyer questions asked every week in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, with the stores and brands named instead of you.

Connect

How to connect BigCommerce: a blog on your domain

No app and no developer. Two small jobs are yours, and the rest is ours.

  1. 1

    Name your blog

Open Integrations in SeoVision, choose Hosted Blog and enter the address, such as blog.yourstore.com. It must sit on your store's own domain.

  2. 2

    Point it to us

Add the one CNAME record we show wherever your domain's DNS is managed. If someone else manages it, email them the steps from the same screen.

  3. 3

    Wait for the green light

We check the record every 15 minutes and issue the https certificate ourselves. Articles wait until the blog opens, then start on schedule.

  4. 4

    Add a Blog link

Put a link to the blog in your BigCommerce header or footer menu, so shoppers and Google find it from your store.

Your blog

What your blog on blog.yourstore.com looks like to shoppers and Google

A blog on its own address only helps if it reads as part of your store. Ours takes your store's look by itself: we read your logo, brand colour, browser icon and top menu links from your home page, and you can change any of them in the blog's settings. A button in its header leads back to your store.

  • Built for search. Every article carries its title, meta description, canonical address and structured data, and the blog has its own sitemap and topic pages.
  • Open to AI crawlers. The blog's robots.txt lets in Google and the AI assistants' crawlers, and an llms.txt file sums up the blog and your store for them.
  • Nothing that tracks. The blog loads no analytics, pixels or cookies, and shows no cookie banner. You can verify it in Google Search Console with a code you paste into its settings.
  • Links to your store. Articles link to your store's pages where they fit, so a reader can go from the answer to the product.

Fixes

BigCommerce SEO problems we find, and where each fix goes

Our weekly scan looks for these on every page it reads. Each finding comes with the exact text or code to copy and the place it belongs. The full rule set sits on our technical SEO services page.

What we findWhat you get to pasteWhere it usually goes
Empty, repeated, too long or too short page titles and meta descriptionsA new title or description made from the page's own heading and textThe page's SEO fields in your control panel
A page that should rank but carries noindexThe setting or tag to removeThe page's settings, or your theme
A missing or wrong canonical tagThe right canonical address for the pageThe page's SEO settings, or its head code
Images without alt textA short description of each imageThe image's alt text field
Broken addresses Google still shows, once Search Console is connectedThe closest live page for each oneYour store's 301 redirect settings
No organization, website or breadcrumb markup, or questions on a page with no FAQ markupA JSON-LD block, ready to pasteThe page head, through your theme
No llms.txt for AI assistantsThe text the file should holdA file at /llms.txt, where your hosting allows one

The next scan reads the page again, and a problem you fixed leaves the list. robots.txt and sitemap findings come as steps, not paste. Product markup stays with your BigCommerce theme, since we write product details only on Shopify and WooCommerce.

Products

Merchant Center, product pages and what stays with BigCommerce

Many BigCommerce stores send their catalog to Google Merchant Center for free Shopping listings. Once you connect your Merchant Center account, the dashboard reads it live: how many products Google shows, limits or does not show, Google's reason for each problem, and the clicks, impressions and conversions your free listings earn, with your top products. We read your account and change nothing in it.

Some of our store work needs a writer inside the store, which a BigCommerce store does not give us. These work on Shopify and WooCommerce only today, and our ecommerce SEO services page shows them in full:

  • Product fixes from Merchant Center. There we fill a missing brand, barcode or part number from the store's own data or a short form you fill in, after your OK. On BigCommerce you see the problem and Google's reason, and you fix it in your catalog.
  • Agentic Feed. Product characteristics, selling points and shoppers' questions with answers, shown on each product page for AI shopping assistants.
  • Orders by channel. Which sales came from search and from AI assistants, read from the store itself.

Who does the work

BigCommerce SEO agency, BigCommerce SEO company or freelancer?

A BigCommerce SEO agency usually sells a monthly retainer with research, content and links, and some are BigCommerce partners. A BigCommerce SEO company of any size works the same way at another scale. A freelancer audits your store and hands you a list, billed by the hour. Ahrefs' survey of 439 SEO providers puts the most common retainer at $501 to $1,000 a month and the most common hourly rate at $100 to $150, while agencies average about $3,200 a month.

We work differently. Our system does the daily work, from the research to an article a day to the weekly scan, and our team looks over every paying store each morning, stepping in wherever a person is needed. You get a dedicated account manager and priority 24/7 support, and every request you send through Help gets a ticket number and a reply from our team.

Whoever you pick, ask four questions: what reaches my store each month, who makes the changes inside BigCommerce, where do the links come from, and what happens if I stop. With us the answers are on this page, and you can cancel any time in Plan & Billing.

What we do not do for a BigCommerce store

We have no BigCommerce app, so we do not publish into BigCommerce's own blog and we never write to your store. Every technical fix comes ready to paste, and the next scan checks whether it took. Your articles live on a subdomain of your domain, not inside your store's pages.

We do not build or redesign stores, change your theme, write product descriptions or tune load speed, which depend on BigCommerce, your theme and your apps. We do not run your ads or promise rankings. For a new theme or a migration, a BigCommerce developer fits that job better.

Questions

BigCommerce SEO: frequently asked questions

What does BigCommerce SEO cost per month?

Ahrefs' survey of 439 SEO providers puts the most common retainer at $501 to $1,000 a month, with agencies averaging about $3,200. SeoVision is $149 a month per store, with 30 articles, the weekly scan, Merchant Center, backlinks and AI tracking included.

How long until BigCommerce SEO shows results?

Plan on months. Fixes you paste count once Google crawls the pages again, and a new blog's articles usually win long, specific searches first, then broader ones as the blog and its links grow. Nobody can promise a position.

What is included in BigCommerce SEO?

Keyword and competitor research, 30 articles a month on a blog on your own domain, a weekly scan with every fix ready to paste, Merchant Center products in your dashboard, backlinks from real business sites and AI visibility tracking.

Can AI tools replace BigCommerce SEO?

Not by themselves. AI can draft a product guide, but it does not pick the searches worth winning, publish on your domain, scan your store each week, read Merchant Center or tell you which stores ChatGPT recommends. We use AI for the writing and our team watches every paying store each morning.

How do I choose a provider for BigCommerce SEO?

Ask what reaches your store each month, who makes the changes inside BigCommerce, where links come from and whether there is a contract. Skip anyone who promises a ranking.

Will BigCommerce SEO get me into ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews?

No one can guarantee it. Clear answers to shoppers' questions, clean markup and mentions on other sites raise your chances. We ask 70 buyer questions every week in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Microsoft Copilot, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode and show where you appear and who is named instead.

Why not publish into BigCommerce's own blog?

Because we have not built a BigCommerce app, we have no way to post there today. A blog on your own subdomain needs one DNS record, takes your store's look and gets every article live with its markup.

Is a blog on a subdomain good for SEO?

It is a real site on your own domain, with its own sitemap, and it links to your store. Some SEOs prefer a folder such as yourstore.com/blog, which on BigCommerce would need a connection we do not have. The subdomain needs one DNS record and no code in your store.
